Metabolic Training Classes For Adults

The Athlete X Factory in Janesville offers a unique and fun metabolic training class that is sure to challenge you regardless of your level of fitness. These are high intensity 45-minute classes will help your body optimize the number of calories that are burned 24/7! The goal is to get your heart rate above 70% of your MHR (maximum heart rate) and keep it there for specific amounts of time.  During the class will use a combination of resistance training and a higher intensity cardio workout.  This class helps with general mobility strength and help boost your metabolism. This is a class for adults at all levels of fitness  and is one of those workouts that you get out of it what you put into it.

New to working out?  Brad and his staff will work with you to help you achieve your fitness goals.  The Metabolic Training Class typically has a mix of beginners and longtime attendees all working together and encouraging each other.  We love new faces, and we invite you to come up and give us a try.

Advanced Athletic Training

Advanced Athletic Training (Age 13 and Up)

The Advanced Athletic Training class encompasses sports specific training and combines high intensity strength training, acceleration, deceleration and change in direction work with powerlifting.  If you want to be a better athlete and reduce your chances for injury Advanced Athletic Training is for you.  We’ve helped 1000’s of local athlete’s step-up their game by developing higher power & speed outputs while becoming injuries resistant. Our Athletic Training Classes provide endless combinations of athletic skill training so competing in the game is effortless. In addition, focus on Strength and Power increases with moderate and heavy loads to optimize power output.

We have athletes working out with us from many of the different area schools.  If your 13 years old or older we invite you to come and check out our gym.  Tell us about your goals and will work with you to accomplish them.  Stop in some time and let’s chat.

10-12 Year Old Athletic Foundation Training

It’s so important for 10-12 year old athletes to start developing neuromuscular patterns. This is the age when fundamentals begin to be developed and directed towards athletic skill in each athlete.

In this class the young athlete will develop coordination, flexibility, running patterns, basic weight training and good safety habits under the guidance of our professional athletic trainers. In this class we will start to work on the fundamentals of acceleration deceleration and change in direction. If your athlete is interested in beginning with any sort of resisted training workouts for athletics let us help them get stated safely and give them the direction, they need to move to more advanced workouts. As with all our classes one of our primary objectives is making our young athletes more injury resistant.

Continual training at this age group will lead to permanent and positive athletic change.

3 main products:

  1. Summer Bootcamp
    1. This is not your average summer camp. A consistent schedule that offers skills, games, athletic training, and sports psychology in 45 minute incraments. This means 3 hour rotations. However, creating blocks that move like stations allow us to move large amounts of kids throughout the day increasing efficiency of the space. This combines working on skill sand implementing them immediately into live game action.
    2. Offer 2 types
      1. 1 Hour and 30 min blocks (just sport whether bball or ball 45 skills 45 games)
      2. 3 hour bootcamp of sport, weights, and psychology 45 min incraments.
  2. Personal Training
    1. We will only offer two types:
      1. Individual (1)
      2. Large group (4-8)
    2. We will only allow individuals to be done if they are need in form correction and that doesn’t necessarily have to be just about there shot. This is simply because the business model can’t survive off individuals.
    3. Allowing 2-3 player sessions also drastically hurts the business model. It’s not efficient use of the space and our clients can get the exact same value in 4-8 player sessions with live work drills. This also allows efficiency for us. The 2-3 player range is where training industries fall off business model wise and lack efficiency.

Other products we will offer:

  1. Team products and packages.
    1. Building skills for teams.
  2. One day camps/ travel camps.

In terms of the product itself, the main focus is the person not the player. If you focus on the best person qualities first, the best player and leader qualities follow without effort and beyond just their playing career. In terms of the curriculum, it’s constantly evolving and open to collaboration. There is a structure for sure that focus on building foundational skills and focusing on what the player will do IN GAMES. This also includes variable training increasing as age goes up and skill builders (things like tennis balls and cones) go down as age evolves. However, increasing hand eye coordination with a tennis ball can be way more effective for younger kids than it will be for older more evolved players. Block training is most effective for younger kids and increasing form repetition. If any of these terms don’t make sense let me know. But none of it is set in stone. Everything we focus on in any of our curriculum is evidence based claims.

Packages do not expire at any time.

All member 16 and older are subject to a $20 month to month membership (Athletic Membership) that allows member to use the fitness floor and partake in Group Fitness classes.

Member under 16 will sign up for a free, Athletic Membership “Under 16”. If a member is 14 or older and wishes to use the fitness floor they will be charged for an Athletic Membership and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Packages can be shared by members of the household.
