What to Expect at Limitless AAU

Roster Goal: We aim for 9 athletes per team. Final roster decisions rest with Coach Jack and the coaching staff and may vary based on the situation. We also plan for 2–3 practice players per team, giving us a minimum of 10 players for most practices. This setup allows us to run the highest-quality 5v5 practices possible — you can’t get great at 5v5 if you don’t practice 5v5!

Team Formation: We form teams at every age level when we have the right combination of interest, talent, and coaches. We won’t force teams just to have them — we only create strong, natural fits.

Tournament Schedule: Our teams focus on developmental tournaments. Most teams compete in about 7 tournaments from mid-April through the end of July, with less than half being two-day events. We intentionally keep travel reasonable so AAU is never a hassle for families or a source of crazy long drives.

What’s Included: Please read full details on everything included in the Basic Package on this web page below. The Basic Package includes over 40 training sessions throughout the school year. We proudly support many multi-sport athletes and intentionally design our practices and training sessions to help them thrive in all their sports.

Travel Philosophy: We’re not trying to make AAU crazy-travel or overly difficult for families. High-level national tournaments will only be entered when the team’s talent level makes it appropriate.

Our Facility: All practices, training sessions, and camps are held at our own 58,000 sq ft facility at 3410 Bell Street, Janesville, WI.

Questions? Feel free to reach out anytime at coachkate@limitlessperformancewi.com.

We can’t wait to see you compete and help you become the best version of yourself on and off the court!

Play As One. 🏀

OUR IDENTITY

More Than Just AAU Basketball

Basketball has lost its way.

We’re here to bring it back — using the game to grow through adversity, build real character, develop a selfless work ethic, and learn what it truly means to get better at something that matters.

At the heart of everything we do is chemistry, culture, and PLAY AS ONE. When kids learn to trust their teammates, push through challenges together, and elevate each other, they discover what it truly feels like to be Limitless.

PLAY AS ONE is our motto, coined by our founder Tony Huml — a coach who believed that caring for your teammates beyond your own success isn’t just possible… it’s the foundation of real success.

We support many multi-sport athletes in our program — and we design our program to help them thrive in all of them.

This is a culture that transforms athletes and coaches. We don’t just build teams — we build families. A place where basketball builds better humans.

We value-pack every part of our program with elite training, maximum court time, and meaningful development. That’s why we created just two simple, powerful packages designed to deliver the highest value possible.

At the end of the day, we keep it real:

Real Care. Real Connection. Real Culture.

We are honest, transparent, and deeply committed to developing young athletes — not just as players, but as strong, confident, and well-rounded individuals. No hidden agendas. No fluff.

This is who we are — and it’s exactly why so many families rave about Limitless.

Our 2026 Parent Meeting

Program Director

Jack Huml

Jack Huml

Co-Owner of Limitless Performance, Director of Basketball, and Head Mental Performance Trainer

Coach Jack Huml is the former owner of CTG, now Limitless Performance, and is committed to carrying forward his father Tony Huml’s legacy in basketball and personal development. By combining elite skill development with inner-life training and leadership formation, he has grown CTG into a widely recognized performance brand—reaching hundreds of thousands online, producing thousands of podcast downloads, and earning countless five-star reviews.

A psychology graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and former Pioneer basketball player, Coach Jack integrates sports psychology, identity development, and high-performance systems into one unified approach. Drawing from contemplative practice and modern scientific research, he equips athletes and families with practical, age-appropriate tools to build discipline, emotional control, resilience, and confidence—training the mind with the same intention as the body.

At the heart of his work is a simple mission: an old-school revival of what makes teams and people strong—choosing love over fear and team over self. His goal is to develop athletes who compete fiercely, lead humbly, and carry character beyond the game.

Two Packages. Maximum Impact. Never Before Offered Value.

For our 2027 teams, Limitless is doing something we’ve never done before.

This year, we’re going all-in on value — simplifying everything into just two powerful packages so every serious family can join and every player gets elite opportunities.

Our goal is simple: Get kids on the court as much as possible with our coaches and help them become the best versions of themselves — both on and off the floor. Payment plans will be available.

Most Common Questions

K
L
For tournaments, are they typically every weekend and are they usually on Sundays?

Tournaments are typically a mix of multi-day and one-day events. If it's a one-day tournament, it’s usually on a Saturday—but not always. We aim for balance and development, not crazy long drives that make the AAU experience difficult for families. Again, our priority is GROWTH.

K
L
Who are the coaches? How are they chosen?

Our Coaches: Person Over Player

Many of our coaches have deep personal connections to Close the Gate Hoops (CTG), which was founded in 2015 by Tony Huml. That legacy of selfless, high-character basketball still runs strong through the program.

The most important aspect of the coaching staff is that every coach is fully committed to the number one priority: person over player. Winning is never placed above real behavioral change in kids that leads to greater success on and off the court for years to come.

Coach Jack leads the coaching staff and the overall basketball program, while continuing to grow alongside everyone else. The goal is to create an environment where coaches want to learn from each other. Curiosity, humility, and continuous improvement are valued at every level.

The majority of the adult coaches with experience are either seasoned adults or current college basketball players. All coaches are personally trained and mentored by Coach Jack, co-owner of Limitless Performance and Head of Basketball Operations. Coach Jack was mentored by his father, Tony Huml — the founder of Close the Gate Hoops — and remains passionate about carrying that legacy forward.

The focus is on empowering leaders, teaching what true effort looks like, and showing every athlete what it means to be a selfless basketball player who does whatever it takes to help the TEAM. This is the heart of PLAY AS ONE — building families, not just teams, and developing better humans through the game.

As demand for the program keeps growing, additional coaches may be needed. If you know any adults or college players who would align with this philosophy — people who put character and long-term growth first — please spread the word to those families and individuals. This is a meaningful opportunity to be part of something bigger while being mentored in both basketball and sports psychology.

K
L
How many days a week are the practices? Are the practices right after school or evening hours?

Practices are held twice a week, typically in the evening, as many of our AAU athletes take advantage of training sessions available right after school.

K
L
Is the weight training before or after the practice, or on a separate day?

Weight training is offered Monday through Thursday, with optional sessions on Fridays. These are typically scheduled before practice.

What is your refund policy?

At Limitless Performance, we do our best to be thoughtful and transparent with families. Because many of our program costs are committed well before the season begins—including facility rentals, tournament registrations, staffing, equipment, and administrative expenses—we are unable to offer refunds once payments are processed.

  • All club fees are non-refundable, regardless of payment method (credit card, cash, check, or automatic withdrawal).

  • This includes changes due to scheduling conflicts, injuries, illness, team placement decisions, playing time, or voluntary withdrawal from the program.

  • Payment plans do not change refund eligibility. All scheduled and completed payments remain non-refundable.

  • Failure to comply with club policies may result in immediate termination without refund.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. While refunds cannot be issued, families are always encouraged to communicate with us early so we can support them within the structure of our program whenever possible.
